Committed to Excellence Award — 2019
Presented personally to Phil O'Neal by One A' Chord Music School in recognition of outstanding commitment to excellence in music education and choral artistry, following the Woodcreek Middle School Choir's invitational performance at Carnegie Hall in New York City. The award was inscribed with Psalm 57:7 — "My heart, O God, is steadfast; I will sing and make music."

Carnegie Hall Performance — Woodcreek Middle School Choir (2024)
The Music of Greg Gilpin — Distinguished Concerts International New York (DCINY)
Woodcreek Middle School Choir, under the direction of Phil O’Neal, was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall as part of the DCINY Concert Series. The ensemble joined distinguished choristers from across North America, culminating in a performance under the direction of composer Greg Gilpin himself.

The Music of Alberto Grau — Distinguished Concerts International New York (DCINY)
The Westlake Houston Community Choir, under the direction of Phil O’Neal, was invited by Distinguished Concerts International New York City (DCINY) to perform at Carnegie Hall as part of the DCINY Concert Series. The performance, held in the Isaac Stern Auditorium, featured The Music of Alberto Grau under the direction of Maestra María Guinand.
The West Lake Houston Community Choir—comprised primarily of Humble ISD students—joined singers from around the world to form the Distinguished Concerts Singers International, a choir of distinction. This residency included rehearsals and clinics led by internationally recognized clinicians, culminating in a performance at one of the world’s most prestigious concert venues.
